Nancy Rowe, Gourd Lady

Gourd Artist Nancy Rowe receives a great write-up in The Examiner of East Jackson County (Missouri). Known as "The Gourd Lady," Rowe has been a vendor at the Bingham-Waggoner Antique & Craft Fair in Independence, Missouri, for 19 years. The annual Fair took place just this past July 14.

Rowe's work has been featured in the New York Museum of Folk Art, and atop the White House Christmas Tree during Ronald Reagan's presidency.

The Fair is held by the Bingham-Waggoner Estate, which holds the crafts fair and other events. Next is a "Pig-Pickin' Chicken Lickin' Feast", September 15.

For future craft events at this location, contact Shireen McLaughlin through the Bingham-Waggoner website, or call (816) 461-3491.
